Job summary

Sight360 is seeking an Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician to conduct diagnostic tests including fundus photography, OCTs, and visual fields, and to support ophthalmologists and optometrists. Travel between clinic locations may be required; accuracy and HIPAA compliance are essential.

The role includes patient workups, EMR data entry, and maintaining exam rooms/equipment. Certification preferred; one year in ophthalmology expected. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in ophthalmology.
• Certification preferred.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge.
• Ability to perform ophthalmic tests and assist physicians as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the diagnostic area and maintain equipment and rooms.
• Perform tests according to physician orders.
• Conduct visual field testing (Humphrey).
• Perform OCT testing (Heidelberg and Cirrus).
• Capture Fundus Photography and External Photography.
• Carry out Corneal Topography (Atlas and Pentacam).
• Accurately transfer test results into the EMR.
• Update patient records in EMS or related systems.
• Comply with HIPAA in all patient interactions.

Position Summary

The Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patients such as fundus photography, OCTs, color vision testing, pachymetry, visual fields. This position may also be responsible for assisting Ophthalmologists and Optometrists by performing ophthalmic clinical functions as necessary including patient work ups and administering eye medications. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Responsible for opening and closing diagnostic area, maintaining equipment and rooms in working conditions.
• Performing test based on a physician's orders.
• Perform visual field testing: Humphrey
• Perform OCT testing: Heidelberg and Cirrus
• Fundus Photography
• External Photography
• Corneal Topography: Atlas and Pentacam
• Timely, accurately and efficient transferring test results into electronic medical records.
• Update patient records using high level of proficiency within the EMS or other related system.
• Comply with all HIPPA regulations in all interactions with patient information

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology.
• Certification preferred.
