Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania seeks a Biostatistician to develop and apply statistical methods in support of life sciences research. You will contribute to study design, data analysis, and interpretation, collaborating with investigators to ensure rigor and meaningful outcomes in clinical, laboratory, or population studies.

You will conduct analyses under supervision, design analysis plans, and contribute to manuscript writing and methodological discussions in ophthalmic research.

Qualifications

• Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Position is contingent upon continued funding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct appropriate statistical analysis for multicenter clinical trials, medical claims, electronic health record data, and ophthalmic research projects.
• Design, test, implement and document statistical programming in SAS and R.
• Develop analysis plans and create analytic data files.
• Prepare summary reports and graphs for manuscripts and proposals and edit methods sections of manuscripts.
