Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding and general insurance billing procedures.
• Experience auditing claims for accuracy and compliance.
• Proficient in billing software and payer portals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Audit submitted insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, coding integrity, and compliance with payer requirements.
• Monitor claim activity, including submission timeliness, denials, rejections, and billing discrepancies.
• Identify missing, incorrect, or incomplete information and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and payer requirements as needed.
• Track and analyze claim activity, billing trends, reimbursements, and payer performance.
• Serve as a resource to internal stakeholders regarding billing requirements and claim status.
• Maintain accurate billing documentation and records per policies and regulations.
• Ensure timely invoices by validating client data and system setup accuracy.
• Participate in process improvement efforts, system implementations, audits, and development of workflows.
