Working Title: Ophthalmic Assistant/UKHC - Richmond Eye Care

Department Name: MG100: Physician Based Clinics

Work Location: Richmond, KY

Grade Level: 06

Salary Range: $16.20-24.82/hour

Type of Position: Staff

Position Time Status: Part-Time

Required Education: HS

Required License/Registration/Certification: None

Physical Requirements: Long periods of sitting/standing and computer use.

Shift: Day shift. Part time hours.

Job Summary:
This position is located off-campus in Richmond, KY. The Ophthalmic Assistant performs various functions and procedures related to the delivery of care to ambulatory patient populations. The Ophthalmic Assistant is involved in direct patient care for both preventive and specialty eye care.

The Ophthalmic Assistant will draw upon their training and experience to perform optimal testing techniques under the supervision of a provider. The Ophthalmic Assistant supports providers to ensure that they can focus on their patients and run their offices efficiently.
