Job summary

Mass General Brigham Weymouth is opening a brand-new ophthalmic practice and seeks enthusiastic Ophthalmic Assistants to join the team. Training at nearby sites before the Weymouth location becomes fully operational is required.

Certified or uncertified applicants are encouraged; you will gather clinical information, assist with exams, and help maintain smooth patient flow while delivering excellent care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in ophthalmic or health care setting 0-1 year preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite, or the ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document clinical information.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Help ensure efficient patient flow throughout the practice.
• Support diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of ocular conditions.
• Develop specialized clinical skills in ophthalmology.
