Job summary

Park Nicollet's Eye Care team invites applications for an Ophthalmic Assistant III to support testing, pediatrics, and specialty ophthalmology. This non-union, 0.4 FTE day-shift role is based in Burnsville, MN, and offers the chance to work with experienced clinicians in a patient-centered setting.

The role requires JCAHPO COA certification within two years and knowledge of essential ophthalmic equipment; prior related education or training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification through JCAHPO as Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) within two years of hire.
• Completion of an accredited home study Ophthalmic Assisting course.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program.
• Equivalent related experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ophthalmic tests, evaluations, and treatments.
• Support Goldmann visual fields, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology.
• Maintain knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and basic computer systems.
