Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services seeks a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join our patient‑centered team in Minneapolis. You will help prepare patients for ophthalmic tests, evaluations, or treatments to ensure high‑quality care and accurate results.

Schedule is day shift, Monday–Friday. Required: JCAHPO Ophthalmic Assistant certification within two years of hire, ongoing certification, and strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Position Summary

Provides basic preparation of the patient for ophthalmic tests, evaluation, or treatment ensuring quality patient services.

Work Schedule

Day shift, Monday-Friday.

Required Qualifications

Certification through JCAHPO as an Ophthalmic Assistant is required within two years of hire date.

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Detail oriented individual with strong human relations and organizational skills.
• Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited home study course in Ophthalmic Assisting or
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program or
• Equivalent related experience.
