Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• OA-I 0–2 years ophthalmic assistant experience; OA-II 2+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Take ocular and systemic history and record visual acuity.
• Perform tests such as OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
• Conduct lensometry, refractometry, slit lamp exams and tonometry.
• Assist as scribe and administer medications as directed.
