Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) to support ophthalmology services at Chestnut Hill. You will perform preliminary testing, document patient history, and assist clinicians with diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include vision testing, laser/ophthalmic equipment handling, and patient education. Travel between nearby locations may be required; benefits and a comprehensive compensation package are provided.

Qualifications

• COA certification per JCAHPO/NCLE required.
• Proven general medical knowledge and ability to take medical history.
• Proficient in basic visual testing and related diagnostic procedures; EMR experience needed.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients, collect comprehensive ocular history and document in EMR.
• Perform vision testing and preliminary eye assessments.
• Assist with minor procedures and maintain sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment and lasers; ensure instruments are ready.
• Educate patients on medications and post-procedure care; may assist administratively.
