Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registered Medical Assistant (Washington) within 2 months of hire or Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 2 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluations or procedures.
• Document comprehensive ocular and systemic histories in the EMR.
• Perform vision screening and essential ophthalmic testing (acuity, tonometry, keratometry, retinoscopy, etc.).
• Assist with ophthalmic imaging and procedures under provider direction.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare equipment for minor procedures.
• Document findings, assessments, and orders in the EMR; support care coordination across departments.
