Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Weekend Shift Operator to support the Accessories production line. Hours are 7:00am–7:00pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday; overtime is available during the week. You will operate light manufacturing equipment, follow work instructions, record production data, and maintain 6S standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of operator experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow 6S standards.
  • Previous stamping, deburring, spot welding, or automation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate light manufacturing equipment and follow work instructions on Milwaukee Tool Accessories production.
  • Maintain equipment and plant to Milwaukee 6S standards and accurately record production data.
  • Ensure equipment meets or exceeds performance metrics and assist with timely job changeovers.
  • Coordinate with Department Leads to fulfill Work Orders.

Job Description:Weekend Shift Hours: 7:00am-7:00pm Friday, Saturday and SundayOvertime Available during the week.A successful Operator will have a strong dedication to safety and quality. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring the highest care is taken with plant equipment and processes. The ability to understand and follow work instruction while maintaining the 6S and key metrics in the department will help drive the success of the manufacturing process.The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Ability to safely operate light manufacturing equipment and follow work instructions during Milwaukee Tool Accessories production.Assisting in the maintaining of equipment and plant to Milwaukee 6S standardsAccurately recording production dataConstantly works to ensure equipment is exceeding performance metricsEnsures timely job changeoversCoordinates with the Department Leads to fulfil Work OrdersSkills & Qualifications:Mathematical and analytical skillsPossess proven mechanical ability or aptitudeAccuracy and attention to detail requiredFamiliarity with correct PPE wear and safety policiesEducation and/or Experience:High School degree/GED1-2 years of experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.Previous stamping, deburring, spot welding, experience with automation, or chemical safety experience is a plusPhysical Demands & Work Environment:The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 35 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusOccasional bending, crouching, twisting, reachingEmployees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cells.The duties listed in the job descriptions are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
