About the role

This position is responsible for operating industrial production machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner including inspection and packaging of product and maintaining materials on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures
• Performs inspection and packing of wall plates as directed while following related work instructions
• Documents production and other information where applicable
• Places identification into each container of parts or finished goods unless alternate method has been established
• Isolates suspect material and alerts technician, quality assurance, and/or supervision in the event of non-conformance
• Maintains a clean machine and work area
• Relocates any defective parts or assemblies to specified scrap containers
• Supports Material Handler position as needed
• Attends department stand‑up meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to sorting and rework

Local Essential Functions: West Jefferson

• Perform changeovers on packaging machines
• Perform simple machine adjustments and light mechanical repair
• Replace product components such as film, barcode ribbon and screws as needed
• Perform minor machine adjustments and repairs

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands, to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
• Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds
• Ability to successfully complete related on‑the‑job training program
• Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• May require up to 1%

• Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling
• Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
• Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
