Job summary

Zeus Industrial Products in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a Tuber Operator to run up to three tuber extruder machines, troubleshoot issues, document raw materials, and ensure material quality.

Responsibilities include installing tooling, loading and monitoring equipment, producing resin preforms per orders, maintaining wall thickness, keeping tools and machines in good condition, and observing safety rules to support continuous improvement and production objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential for meeting production objectives.
• Must adapt to different situations and follow safety rules.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Job Summary

• Make preforms out of resin as specified on order card.
• Measure and maintain correct wall thickness of tubing being sent to catching area.
• Run 2-3 machines at any given time.
• Keep tooling and machines in good working condition.
• Polish and straighten tooling on lathe.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain good communications within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to carry out oral and written instructions along with the ability to adapt to different situations
• The ability to lift up to 30 lbs.; push/ pull approximately 11lbs., walk up and down stairs.
• The employee must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products.
• Must have basic mathematical skills including addition subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals. Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardy will have a negative impact on our ability to meet our production objectives.
