ITW in Zeeland, MI is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure only quality products are produced and defects are prevented. You will perform in-process and final inspections, use micrometers, calipers and gauging tools, and maintain quality documents in an orderly fashion.

Ideal candidates have basic math and computer skills, can read blueprints, understand SPC data, and hold a high school diploma or GED. You will support production and help keep the workspace clean, safe, and organized.

Job Description:

Position Objective:

To ensure only quality products are being produced while constantly striving to meet our customers' expectations of Zero Defects.

Essential Functions

• Perform assigned in-process and final inspections.
• Monitor products using the workstation equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, rings and plugs to ensure that quality products are being produced.
• Ensure and maintain quality documents in a neat and orderly manner.
• Measure and inspect parts according to the Operator Inspection Instruction.
• Support and assist production as necessary or required.
• Identify nonconforming or suspect products and initiate containment process.
• Verify that SPC data is being correctly gathered, recorded, and monitored.
• Gather paperwork, SPC data, and gages necessary for upcoming production jobs.
• Comply with Drawform procedures, safety standards, and housekeeping practices by keeping work area clean, safe and organized.
• Complete and compare WIP Traveler and label info to assure it is correct and all product is labeled properly.
• Participate in team activities and contribute to the overall success of the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
