Job summary

Intercontinental-Terminals-Company-LL is seeking a terminal technician in Texas to safely load and unload tank trucks, cars, barges and ships, while following all safety, environmental, and company policies.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and math skills, and meticulous attention to detail. One year of industry experience is preferred, and a Process Technology degree/certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with internal, environmental, and safety policies.
• Ensure proper connection and disconnection of hoses or pipelines.
• Monitor for leaks and/or spills and take corrective action.
• Load/Unload tank trucks safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
• Load/Unload tank cars safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
• Load/Unload barges/ships safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
• Assist in other areas of the terminal as requested by Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintain good safety awareness and housekeeping practices.

Job description

• Fulfill the responsibilities identified in the Declaration of Inspection (DOI) and United States Coast Guard Manual.
• Load/Unload tank trucks safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
• Load/Unload tank cars safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
• Load/Unload barges/ships safely in accordance with procedure and regulations.
• Assist in other areas of the terminal as requested by Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintain good safety awareness and housekeeping practices.
