Metro Water Recovery in Denver, CO is seeking an Operator Technician Trainee to grow into a Plant Operator I. You will work under supervision, assist with wastewater plant operations, and pursue a Wastewater Class D Operator license as soon as possible after hire.
The role includes a scheduled night shift (6pm-6am or 2pm-2am) based on needs, with training to meet performance goals and safety standards within a community-focused utility environment in Brighton, CO.

Assists with the operation of a wastewater plant. Performs skilled and unskilled work and assists with tasks required to operate and control the performance of liquid and solids stream unit process equipment. Works under the direction of an Operations Supervisor or Plant Operator – Lead. May be assigned work by a licensed Plant Operator.
High school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license is required.
Wet/Humidity Conditions; Residential and Commercial wastewater/Biosolids; Variety of floor surfaces including concrete, gravel, asphalt, dirt, tile, loose stones, uneven surfaces, slippery surfaces, wet surfaces; Inside environment; Outside environment all year in all weather conditions and temperatures; Chemicals; Lighting conditions include natural light, fluorescent, head lamps, incandescent, and low light; Vibration; Moving equipment and vehicles; Work at heights; Work in confined spaces.
