Job summary

Westlake Global Compounds is seeking an Operator Technician to ensure proper, safe, and efficient operation and packaging of finished product in a manufacturing setting. You will contribute to quality control and maintain clean, organized work areas.

The role requires operating and assisting with equipment, following safety procedures, and complying with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards; overtime may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must score Silver or above on WorkKeys test.
• Certified forklift license and prior forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment while performing duties.
• Set up Gaylord boxes and tare; ensure adequate quantity.
• Inspect each Gaylord box and liner for cleanliness and suitability.
• Weigh and package material with neat, legible labels.
• Assist the machine operator during start-up and shut-down.
• Monitor vacuum chambers from the station and oversee finished product.
• Notify shift supervisor at coolers if anything is suspected.
• Handle and store finished product and bulk materials properly.
• Keep area and tools neat, clean and stored.
• Follow ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 procedures; adapt to overtime as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

WorkKeys Silver or above

Certified Forklift License (preferred)
