Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for starting, stopping, and monitoring equipment, including reading gauges and meters, and recording activities in logs. Uses computers and monitoring tools to measure, record, and adjust within operating parameters. Performs maintenance tasks, diagnoses issues, repairs mechanical and electrical equipment, and performs system overhauls. Conducts chemical analysis and maintains chemical logs. Assists in developing operational procedures and suggests improvements for efficiency, reliability, and safety. Ensures compliance with regulations and maintains security, operates heavy equipment, and handles chemicals.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform technical service/support duties that are semi-routine.
  2. Make routine and non-routine decisions with some latitude, subject to approval.
  3. Prioritize and execute responsibilities for a specific trade or task area.
  4. Work periodically reviewed; demonstrate solid performance.
  5. Identify deviations from standard practices and resolve most issues, referring complex problems to higher levels.
  6. Work under general supervision, completing tasks and resolving problems effectively.
  7. Assist in training employees in complex areas as needed.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from technical/vocational school or military service.
  • Approximately 6 years of related experience, including knowledge of safety regulations, hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste handling.
  • Experience with test equipment, calibration, machinery repair, and control systems.
  • Strong mechanical skills and basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and math.
  • Basic certifications and a valid driver’s license.
