Job summary

System One, including its subsidiaries, is seeking an Operator Tech / Outside Operator for a 6-month onsite assignment in Texas City, TX. You will monitor field equipment, diagnose and repair systems, and ensure safety compliance while handling chemicals and performing routine testing.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. You may work rotating shifts, including holidays and overtime, to sustain continuous plant operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical/vocational school or military background preferred.
• Licensing: Valid state driver’s license and capability to operate heavy gear like forklifts or manlifts.
• Experience: Level I to III, from entry-level to 6+ years of journey-level or senior power plant experience.

• Equipment Monitoring: Start, stop, and monitor field equipment, read gauges and meters, and record logs.
• Plant Maintenance: Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and handle overhauls.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental and health safety rules, manage hazardous materials, and maintain plant security.
• Chemical Handling: Transfer bulk chemicals and perform chemistry testing on cooling, steam, and condensate systems.
• Shift Work: Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required to maintain continuous plant operation.
