Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a terminal operator to safely unload and load bulk products to and from vessels, tanks, railcars and trucks at our Chesapeake facility.

Responsibilities include equipment inspection, housekeeping and maintenance, and reporting abnormalities to supervision. The role requires GED or high school diploma, ability to stand long hours, follow instructions, and strong communication skills; shifts include weekends and 12-hour schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely transfer bulk products to and from vessels, tanks, railcars, and trucks.
• Inspect and monitor conveyors and related equipment; report abnormalities to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping and general maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Keep assigned equipment/tools in good condition.
• Perform other terminal functions as trained and instructed by supervisor.
• Work in all weather conditions and be available for all shifts, including 12-hour shifts.

What We Are Looking For

Responsible for the safe, efficient and quality-conscious

unloading and loading of bulk products to or from

vessels, tanks, railcars, and trucks. Assure the work

being performed consistently meets or exceeds the

expectations of the supervisor, as well as published

policies and procedures

What You Will Do

. A position assigned specific duties under periodic supervision by the supervisor. May be assigned to general duties in all areas of operations of the terminals. Extensive training in railcar, truck, warehousing, vessel operations, safety and environmental training as required.

1. The safe and efficient transfer of bulk products to or from vessels, tanks, railcars and trucks.
2. General inspection and monitoring conveyors and related equipment operation. Reporting to supervisor of equipment abnormalities of failures.
3. Housekeeping and general maintenance as required.
4. Upkeep of assigned equipment or tools.
5. Perform any other type of terminal function as trained and as instructed by the supervisor.
6. Requires work in all types of weather conditions
7. Must be available to work all shifts and weekends including 12 hours shifts
