Operator Qualifications Trainer & Evaluator

Job Overview

Equix Energy Services, LLC is a utility construction service company with locations throughout the southern United States. We focus on underground natural gas distribution piping, power, and telecom infrastructure. We are seeking a full-time Operator Qualifications Trainer & Evaluator to support natural gas construction in the southern region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submit training documentation, including initial and refresher training records, training outlines, and schedules.
  • Conduct Operator Qualification (OQ) training and evaluations for field personnel working on regulated DOT Pipeline projects, in both field and classroom settings.
  • Ensure all employees complete initial training satisfactorily, in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule OQ training sessions, overseeing compliance through field quality control inspections, coaching, and training as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of qualifications and ensure program compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in monitoring and updating training programs to stay compliant with evolving regulations.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience with client-required Operator Qualification programs such as Isnetworld, Midwest Energy Association, ITS, or Energy-worldnet OQ systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years in construction/installation of natural gas piping and facilities.
  • Strong communication skills for training and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel for field visits to ensure program compliance.
  • Knowledge of DOT Operator Qualification Rules and their application in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
