Job summary

Royston Group is seeking a Press Brake Operator for the 3rd shift to safely form metal components per drawings and specs. You will set up dies, adjust tooling, and verify bends with attention to quality and safety while sustaining steady production.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts, and maintaining a clean, organized work area in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Prior press brake or metal fabrication experience is preferred and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous press brake or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating press brake equipment preferred.
• Experience working with various metal types, gauges, tooling, and bend requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, sketches and blueprints and work instructions.
• Set up press brake equipment by selecting the appropriate dies and tooling and adjusting machine pressure and settings.
• Determine and apply appropriate bend allowances for various metal types, thicknesses, and gauges.
• Accurately measure parts and make appropriate machine adjustments to achieve required dimensions and tolerances.
• Form and fabricate parts efficiently while safely handling materials and preventing damage to finished components.
• Operate press brake equipment to produce standard, special, and complex parts across a variety of materials.
• Perform press brake operations independently and with minimal supervision.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications, dimensions, and quality standards.

Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Position Summary:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating press brake equipment to form and fabricate metal components according to specifications, drawings, and production requirements. The operator must be able to set up machines, select appropriate tooling, determine bend allowances, and produce quality parts while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills:

• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, sketches, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Ability to accurately identify part measurements and determine the required machine operations based on those measurements.
• Ability to use measuring tools and accurately interpret measurements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic mathematical and mechanical skills.

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous press brake or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating press brake equipment is preferred.
• Experience working with various metal types, gauges, tooling, and bend requirements is a plus.

Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work for prolonged periods standing or walking in assigned areas, is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.

The employee must lift and move metal parts weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Ability to work according to a schedule and meet attendance and productivity expectations.
