Job summary

Paligen Technologies is seeking a 1st shift Operator - Press in Garland, Texas. The role involves maintaining production throughput records, interpreting procedures, and operating presses and related equipment in a high-temp, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of press experience, plus passing a background check and drug screen. The job requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with various tools and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily throughput records of units produced and defective.
• Interpret SOI and SOP as required in job assignment.
• Input inventory and defect data into the CIMA system.
• Knowledge and use of gauges and instruments for press operations.
• Read, write and communicate effectively.
• Operate presses, bomb washers, forklift and related equipment.
• Understand press operation setups and changeovers.

Title: Operator - Press

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain daily throughput records or units produced as well as units defective.
• Correctly interpret S.O.I.’s and S.O.P.’s required in job assignment
• Capable of inputting inventory and defect data into the company CIMA system
• Knowledge and ability to use all gages and instruments required for press operations.
• Must have normal vision or correctable to perform job tasks.
• Ability to read, write and communicate.
• Knowledge and ability to use all gages and instruments required for job related tasks.
• Ability to use all presses, bomb washers, forklift and miscellaneous equipment related to job tasks.
• Knowledge of pressing operations and ability to know what the operation is capable of performing as intended.
• Working knowledge of press operation set ups, changeover, and functional operation of the miscellaneous equipment.

Education & Experience:

• High school education or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one (1) year of related press operation.

Work environment

• Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
• Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
• High paced production environment to meet standards.
