Responsibilities

  • Safely load, unload, transfer, fill, and package chemical products in bulk tanks, totes, drums, pails, and trucks.
  • Operate plant and filling equipment including pumps, valves, gauges, air-operated filling systems, and scales.
  • Connect and disconnect hoses, valves, and fittings while ensuring proper containment and spill prevention.
  • Accurately fill containers to specified weight and volume requirements using automated or manual processes.
  • Perform basic quality checks to verify product accuracy and compliance prior to shipment.
  • Ensure all containers are properly labeled according to company, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare materials and finished goods for inbound and outbound shipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other approved material‑handling equipment to transport chemicals and products.
  • Maintain accurate counts and assist with inventory tracking as required.
  • Strictly follow all safety procedures, SOPs, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations; properly use required PPE.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; report spills, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Support team members and perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Chemical Operator

Reports to: Plant Manager, Production/Quality Supervisor

Shift: Monday to Friday – 10 hours/day, limited weekends as needed

Hourly rate: $25

The US hourly rate for this position is $25 + benefits. Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location. The hourly rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific rate factors for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process, as some facilities are subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements. Please note that the compensation details listed in the US roles postings reflect the hourly rate only, and do not include benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives such as overtime and shift premiums.

Scope of the Position

The Operator supports safe and efficient plant operations by handling bulk chemicals, operating equipment, and following established safety and operating procedures. This role contributes to daily production activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

What You Need To Be Successful

High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment
Must Be Able To Perform Under The Following Conditions
  • Work in awkward or confining workspaces.
  • Work in elevated places.
  • Work in outdoor environment.
  • Work in noisy environment.
  • Work in areas that are dusty and have some odor from chemicals and etc.
  • Safety is a job requirement.
  • Able to work in Adverse Weather Conditions.
  • Required use of PPE.
