Job description

Operator, Plant (Tebone Plant) (Finance)

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is a leading North American provider of midstream energy services, including natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, storage, NGL transportation, and petrochemical services. Our assets include extensive pipeline networks, storage capacities, and marine transportation systems.

The Plant Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of natural gas liquid fractionation plants, amine treating plants, compressors, and pipeline systems, utilizing both Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and onsite operations. Responsibilities include:

  1. Operating plant and pipeline equipment such as amine treating plants, NGL fractionation assets, compressors, dehydrators, valves, and measurement equipment.
  2. Managing start-up and shutdown procedures.
  3. Adjusting controls within prescribed ranges.
  4. Inspecting equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repairs.
  5. De-pressurizing equipment and pipelines.
  6. Monitoring plant operations and responding to emergencies.
  7. Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, including adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM).
  8. Implementing safe work practices and participating in safety culture initiatives.
  9. Communicating system statuses and alerting customers of potential delivery issues.
  10. Performing minor maintenance tasks and site upkeep.
  11. Maintaining accurate records of operational data.
  12. Supporting multiple locations and working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.; technical certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Knowledge of system operations in processing or fractionation plants.
  • Basic math skills and computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under stressful or hazardous conditions, and in various environments, including outdoors, confined spaces, and temperature extremes.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks.
