Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. The Plant Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of natural gas amine treating plants, compressors, and pipeline systems via both computer control center and onsite operations. Responsibilities include:
- Operating natural gas plant and pipeline equipment including amine treating plants, chilled water gas conditioning skids, reciprocating natural gas compressors, TEG dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, gas measurement equipment, etc.
- Starting up/shutting down plant equipment.
- Adjusting controls to operate equipment within prescribed ranges.
- Visually inspecting equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repairs.
- De-pressuring equipment and pipelines.
- Operating valves and monitoring plant and pipeline operations.
- Responding to emergency or upset conditions.
- Implementing safety practices and participating in safety culture.
- Monitoring gas gathering system via SCADA and communicating with customers about gas delivery issues.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining records.
- Recording operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption.
- Performing minor maintenance on equipment.
- Maintaining site cleanliness and safety.
- Replacing filters, oils, chemicals, gaskets, and valves as needed.
- Changing gauges and performing minor repairs.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Supervising contract labor for maintenance activities.
- Collaborating on plant improvements.
- Working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Technical certification or equivalent training preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable record required.
- Knowledge of system operation, control, and design in processing plants.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under stressful or hazardous conditions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive, dependable, and committed to safety and teamwork.
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors, in temperature extremes and in confined spaces.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., transport loads up to 75 lbs., and work at heights.
- Must be able to respond to signals, alarms, and instructions.
