Job summary

Harvest Midstream in Utah is seeking a qualified pipeline operator to monitor and control gas and liquid pipelines. Responsibilities include reviewing shift logs, regulating flow, performing inspections, and operating SCADA-based controls while upholding safety and environmental standards.

This role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work on call. You will complete maintenance and documentation tasks, support pigging operations, and assist with pipeline

Qualifications

  • One year minimum pipeline experience with a combination of gas and liquid pipeline operations.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and regulate flow of product and review daily logs and reports.
  • Perform inspections for safety, leaks and wear; coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Operate pipeline tests and testing equipment; support pigging and locates as required.
  • Maintain logs of meter readings, test results, and process adjustments.
  • Contribute to safety and regulatory compliance, and training activities.

Job Objective:Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy and environmentally sound operations of the gas /oil pipelines.Essential Job Responsibilities: Reviews and monitors prior shift, to check for accuracy, daily computer log and scan process board.Monitors and maintains operations by measuring and regulating flow of product. Monitors and maintains pipeline by conducting studies and inspections.Must be able to ascend and descend stairs on small, medium, and large tanks, control buildings, and other unspecified locations.Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.Prepares pipeline reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Inspects equipment for safety problems, leaks, wear and tear, and makes or recommends appropriate repairs and maintenance.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.Maintains safe and healthy work environment by practicing pipeline standards, adhering to legal regulations, and conducting inspections.Monitors and maintains logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made.Capable of observing and interpreting information displayed within Company’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) SystemPerform shake outs or grind outs using Company furnished testing equipment.Conduct pipeline locates using Company furnished equipment.Observe foreign line crossings.Capable of performing pipeline pigging operations.Inspects piping and equipment for safety problems, leaks, wear and tear, and makes or recommends appropriate repairs and maintenance.Other Job Responsibilities:Demonstrate commitment to company core values — Integrity, Ownership, Urgency, Alignment, and Innovation — in all daily responsibilities and interactions.Actively support and contribute to the company’s mission and vision through reliable, high-quality workAbility to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).Qualifications: One (1) year minimum pipeline experience with a combination of Gas and Liquid pipeline operations.Ability to accurately solve problems.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision.Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.Ability to accurately perform tasks.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with different groups that transport product.Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).Ability to work in extreme temperatures (Heat and/or Cold).Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.Ability to maintain the integrity of the plant process.Ability to work alone and highly motivated.Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas.
