Job summary

Wenger Sabetha, KS is seeking a skilled spray painter to apply prime and finish coats on machines and parts. You will mix, mask, and operate spray equipment while following safety standards and quality KPIs.

Daily duties include prepping surfaces, removing rust, using masking tape, cleaning tools, and collaborating with multiple departments to meet production deadlines. A valid lift truck certification is preferred and a commitment to ongoing safety is expected.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from equipment.
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush or steel wool.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coast areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Operate lift truck with certification.
• Communicate regularly with other individuals/departments within the organization.
• Other duties assigned due to the need of the business.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, machinery with moving parts.
