Job summary

Lamb Weston in Twin Falls, ID is seeking an Operator Packaging Machine for C Shift. You will operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment to meet safety, food safety, quality and production standards.

Night shift duties on C Shift at our Twin Falls facility involve overseeing bagging, sealing, and line coordination. You will monitor feed, perform routine checks, and ensure packaging quality while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written English communication required.
• Forklift experience in warehouse/manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to be qualified within facility time frames.
• Ability to perform basic math functions is required.
• Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Line Sanitation, Ink-jet coder, Bagger operation, Dyna-pack operation, Settlers and Case sealers.
• Performs routine metal detector checks to ensure proper function of metal detectors.
• Monitors line flow rates, including regular checks for proper feed of product through baggers.
• Monitors and adjusts vibrators to gain optimum bagger performance.
• Orders packaging material
• Ensures proper container sizing
• Records packaging machinery efficiencies, downtime, and fills out reports accurately and correctly.
• Responsible for ensuring complete packaging quality of product taking regular checks or weights, seals codes, glue patterns, etc.
• Complete CIL’s and centerlines.
• Participates in AMD Drumbeats.
• Reworks product when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Certifications: (required/preferred)

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.

Skills And Experience

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location).
• Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.
• Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
• Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Environment/Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
• May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products
• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
