Job summary

Essity in Dover, DE is seeking a Production Technician to operate a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 shift. You will manage a production line, follow SOPs, and participate in changeovers while ensuring safety, quality, and efficient line performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line and ensure compliance with fixed specifications and SOPs.
• Run processes and equipment efficiently and keep process under control.
• Lead small changeovers and prepare raw materials per SOPs.
• Maintain communication with previous and next shifts and other operators.
• Keep optimal housekeeping and document production data.
• Regularly check product quality against specifications and reject as needed.

Production Technician
Operating in safety a production line for manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. As member of the shift team is responsible for the performance of the machine. The operator Intermediate has the skills to undertake the tasks needed to operate/ sustain efficiently the equipment/process.

About the Role

12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule: Two weeks on days (7:00 AM -7:00 PM) followed by two weeks on nights (7:00 PM-7:00 AM). This rotation provides built-in flexibility with every other weekend off and additional personal time throughout the schedule.

What You Will Do

• Regarding process skills/tasks: Operates process & equipment efficiently.
• Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control.
• Regarding Mechanical skills/tasks: Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks.
• Lead small change-overs
• Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well with other persons involved in running the machine
• Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation.
• Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting and blocking if necessary.
• Complete all required documentation and data files during production.

Who You Are

• High School, Technical Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in an operator role in the manufacturing area
• Proven experience with operating complex machinery or production equipment and understanding of the operational processes.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving minor technical issues with machines or equipment.
• Process optimization experience or involvement in improving production workflows or efficiency.li>
• Experience with safety protocols and maintenance procedures for equipment, including calibration, inspections, and cleaning.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay begins at $17.17 per hour + full benefits, with the opportunity for higher pay based on experience and qualifications
