Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years in a production driven environment preferred.
  • 5+ years in an industrial plant preferred.
  • Experience in a labor-intensive role preferred.
  • Refinery operations experience is an asset.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Physically capable: climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the #1 priority and follow safe work practices.
  • Handle plant operations under lead operator guidance and adjust plant settings as needed.
  • Follow proper tower operating procedures and perform rounds of units, boiler, and cooling tower.
  • Work independently and as part of a team; sample process streams and assist with tank farm operations.
  • Complete tank transfers to control inventory and obtain routine process samples for quality checks.
  • Switch and change process filters; perform housekeeping tasks and maintain advanced process knowledge.
  • Complete training and certifications; maintain current certifications as needed.

Join our Tacoma, WA safety conscious team! Our Operator Oil Recycling Sr is responsible for and not limited to cleaning or changing out of pump strainers, inline filters, sampling tank and production lines, replacing PPE drums, pumps up re-use drums, empties all containment bins, and replaces dirty oil absorbent pads. We are looking for a go-getter who is eager to learn!

Wage: $33.14hr

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Following the direction of the lead operator handle all plant operations and perform necessary adjustments to the plant
  • Follow proper tower operating procedures.
  • Perform rounds of the process units, boiler, and cooling tower.
  • Work independently as well as in a team
  • Samples process streams and assists with tank farm operations
  • Completes tank transfers to control inventory
  • Obtains routine process samples to verify product quality
  • Switches and changes process filters
  • Completes housekeeping tasks within the refinery
  • Perform all assigned tasks ensuring that Safety is the Number One Priority.
  • Perform all requested duties and maintain an advanced understanding and in-depth knowledge of the Re-Refinery process and facility.
  • Complete all training and certifications as assigned, maintain current certifications as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a labor-intensive role
