City of Rutland seeks an Operator Mechanic for the 3rd shift to monitor and maintain the wastewater treatment plant. This role supports daily operations by lubricating pumps and motors, disassembling and cleaning equipment, cleaning grates and wet wells, and performing minor electrical and plumbing tasks to ensure continuous operation.

Job Summary: This position is a part of the crew that operators the City’s wastewater treatment plant. This is accomplished by assuring the proper, continuous lubrications of pumps and motors, taking pumps apart and cleaning when plugged, cleaning grates and wet wells, etc. Also performs minor electrical and plumbing duties to guarantee the smooth operation of the facility following a daily schedule of work events.
