Job summary

Roger Langeliers Construction Co. is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer with CDL A and concrete experience to join our team. You will be responsible for operating CDL A vehicles, pouring and finishing concrete, and ensuring safety and efficiency under project specifications.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy trucks and equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete slip-form equipment.

• Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds, or concrete mixers) to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Safely load, secure, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
• Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and backhoes, to move and prepare materials.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete following project specifications.
• Use hand and power tools to shovel, trowel, and finish concrete surfaces.
• Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients to understand project requirements and coordinate tasks accordingly.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.

You'll be responsible for various tasks related to the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
