Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing settings is preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong visual perception to detect closure defects.
• Must follow and apply SOPs, LTTV and GMP rules.
• Able to work independent and with a team to resolve issues quickly.
• Must pass pre-employment screens and a written and driving test.
• Open to first or second shift as needed.
• Must follow all EHS and food safety guidelines on the floor.
• Must be trained in use of walk behind type lifts.

Responsibilities

• Packs and labels product per customer orders and specs.
• Minimizes waste and scrap; participates in efficiency improvements.
• Monitors product quality with QC information and reports issues.
• Maintains clean work area; uses downtime for training.

• Identifies hazardous materials and handles them properly.
• Adheres to emergency procedures and environmental protocols.
• Reports deviations from food safety protocols.
• Completes bi-annual GMP/Quality observations per EHS site.

The primary focus is the continuous production of quality products, reduction of downtime, ensuring equipment issues are reported to Production Tech, and continuous flow of product into boxes. Responsible for working with all departments to ensure problems are identified and resolved quickly. This position will report directly to the Production Supervisor.**Duties and Responsibilities:**1. Packs and properly labels product based on customer orders and specifications.2. Minimize waste and scrap; participates in problem solving efforts to make the area more efficient.3. Utilizes Quality Control information to monitor product quality, reports issues to Supervisor.4. Housekeeping-keeps work area clean; uses spare time constructively.5. Promotes teamwork utilizing CSI team principles for working together.6. Follow all procedures and SOP’s for the facility i.e., LTTV, GMP rules, etc.7. Be aware of hazardous materials in the area and the proper handling of hazardous materials.8. Be aware of, understand, and follow emergency procedures.9. Report all spills or other environmental incidents following EHS protocol.10. Follow all food safety guidelines while on the manufacturing floor.11. Report any deviation from food safety protocol to the functional responsible personnel.12. Each employee will do one bi-annual Quality/GMP Job Observation located on the EHS website.13. Complies with all OPEX (Operational Excellence) policies, procedures, and guidelines required of them in their current role; completes all required training, audits, and compliance tools.14.
