Job summary

GFL Environmental Services seeks an Operator in Baytown, TX, to safely load, secure, and transport cargo while complying with safety regulations. The role requires a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and experience operating vacuum, suction, and hydro-excavation trucks.

Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills are essential. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts is a must.

Qualifications

• High School diploma minimum.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement.
• Demonstrated experience operating multiple truck types listed.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
• Availability for overtime, weekend work, and an on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, and transport cargo in compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
• Conduct pre-, en-, and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Complete and maintain required logs, manifests, and bills of lading.
• Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service and ensure work areas remain clean and safe.
• Train others and perform additional duties as assigned.
