Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Operator II at its Johns Creek, GA distribution center. This role focuses on shipping and receiving, packing, and verifying materials for shipment, using RF scanners and basic computer systems.

The position requires leadership potential and the ability to work a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with some weekends. As part of the Alcon team, you will contribute to reliable order processing while rotating across department areas and supporting junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Fluent reading/writing in English.
• Basic Computer Experience expected.
• Prior Leadership Experience preferred.
• RF Scanner Experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs a mix of manual shipping/receiving duties, using hand trucks and computer systems to maintain data.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares material for shipment and verifies quantity and weight.
• Routes materials to destinations and may fabricate/assemble nonstandard crates.
• May rotate to different areas monthly and lead a small team; communicates clearly via email and in person.

As an Operator II supporting our distribution center, you will be trusted with warehouse shipping & receiving, gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method recording received and shipped items at the Johns Creek Distribution, in Johns Creek, Georgia.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and / or receiving duties which may require the use of a hand truck and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares material for shipment.
• Verifies quantity, weight and conformance of materials prepares records of materials shipped.
• Routes materials to destinations.
• May lay out, fabricate and assemble nonstandard crates and boxes.
• Rotate on a monthly basis to areas within the department.
• Able to lead a small group of individuals.
• Good communication skills, email-face to face-work direction-training.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Work hours: 40 hours per week: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday: 3:00PM EST - 11:30PM EST (some weekends required)
