Job Summary

As a Stick Pack Operator II, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the Stick Pack machinery to produce high-quality products. The person who holds this position is responsible to accurately process blend into a Stick Pack form according to written instruction and in compliance with cGMPs and SOPs. You will follow strict guidelines to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the encapsulation process.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Stick Pack machines according to production guidelines
  • Monitor machinery to ensure it functions properly during the Stick Pack process
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals efficiently

Requirements

  • Able to comprehend and act on detailed written work instruction.
  • Must follow all SOP’s and cGMP requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions and directions, particularly work orders, safety, and company policies.
  • Must be able to understand gram and kilo scales.
  • Must wear personnel protective equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a low humidity room.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift, reach, grab, bend, stoop, climb, or perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.

Work Conditions

  • Subject to normal warehouse and production environment.
  • Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required.
  • Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes from the machines, odors, powders, dust and other particles

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Stick Pack Operator or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Experience:

  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Working quickly without compromising quality
  • Mechanical skills and or Stick Pack machinery experience
  • In a food facility or facility that follows cGMP practices is preferred but not required.

Key Competencies(Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Knowledge and following of cGMP guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate thoroughly with peers and management.
  • Good mechanical skills
