Job Summary

Manually inspects completed plastics parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels and stacks full boxes on pallets. May operate machines. May train Inspector/Packer I’s. Operates in a safe manner and keeps work area clean and organized.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• In process inspection: Examination of visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.)
• Records data: Documenting information regarding the product or duties as deemed necessary by management
• Packing: Transferring product into shipping containers, weighing, labeling using SAP, preparing boxes, stacking on pallets
• Maintains work area: Keeping production and packing areas clean and organized
• Operates Machines: Operating manually operated molding presses, removing molded products, secondary operations like reaming, trimming, facing, hot stamping
• Training: May train new Inspector/Packer I employees
• Sorts and Reworks: Handling non-conforming products, proper documentation and labeling
• Teamwork: Developing and maintaining good relationships across departments
• Training and safety: Completing required training, working safely, complying with safety and environmental regulations
• Other duties: Performing additional responsibilities as assigned

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements

• Math skills: Average or better
• Physical ability: Long hours walking and standing, safely lifting up to 35 lbs
• Manual skills: Good color perception and manual dexterity
• Communication: Good verbal and written English skills
• Technical skills: Proficiency in PC use, Microsoft Office, SAP, email (preferred)

Pay range: $16.15 - $29.09/hour, based on qualifications and experience, location, and other factors.
