Job summary

Baxter is seeking a production assembler to support our high-speed, quality-focused manufacturing operations in the United States. You will rotate across stations, reading blueprints and process sheets to set up and assemble components while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability to automation, and precise, repeatable performance. Overtime may be required to meet production needs, with a focus on delivering life-saving products and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area preferred.
• Good mechanical dexterity/eyesight, ability to read, write and use basic math; maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
• Able to adapt to a changing work environment, including increased automation, changes in production methods or sequences, and rotation among workstations.
• Team-oriented and able to participate in problem-solving activities.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards.
• Rotate among stations within work center/department; may take on more complex tasks to support cross-training and coverage.
• Determine setup procedures, equipment, materials, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements from blueprints/diagrams/process sheets.
• Work with basic chemicals in assembly detail and use simple machinery to prepare component parts for assembly.
• Assist higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production.
• Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions with technical/supervisory staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory count of completed work and monitor schedule/quality/quantity requirements.
• Package component parts or assemblies for shipment with protection against damage and inclusion of all parts/instructions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met.
• You will have the opportunity to rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center needs.
• Your ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets will help you to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements.
• You may work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly.
• You will work with a diverse group of people, your positive and enthusiastic demeanor will aid you in assisting higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed.
• Likewise, ability to diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions will enable you to work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitoring work and insuring requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity.
• You may package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present.

What You’ll Bring

Physical Requirements:

The worker is required to have natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors.

Be able to lift 40lbs and work in various positions: standing, sitting, and working on repetitive jobs/assemblies.
