The Opportunity
This position works out of our Minnetonka location in the electrophysiology division (EP).
Work Shift
Monday – Thursday, 3:45 PM – 2:15 PM with potential overtime.
Main Purpose of Role
Working under general supervision in accordance with specific procedures and practices, you may perform a combination of assembly, weld, x‑ray, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, electronic systems, and related medical device assemblies. You perform routine assignments with detailed instructions, follow general instructions for routine work and more detailed instructions for new or special activities, and perform assignments of moderate complexity; usually referring more complex problems to immediate supervisor, lead, or senior personnel.
What You’ll Work On
- Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date; troubleshoot; interpersonally resolve conflicts, actively participate, listen, interpret, cooperate, and remain flexible to support a successful self‑managed team.
- Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
- Positively represent the company during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information.
- Support the company’s policies and procedures, maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
- Perform routine/preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency, minimize accidents, and enhance tool longevity.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed to assure product quality.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Participate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics that continuously seek to improve the quality of operations.
- Support all divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of QMS, EMS, and other regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical or other regulated production environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions; understand and use electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
- Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
- Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
- Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous medical device, manufacturing, or assembly experience is helpful.

The base pay for this position is $14.35 – $28.75 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
