Overview

Resonetics Hutchinson is hiring a 1st shift Operator II. This position works Monday-Thursday from 5:45am-4:15pm.

This position employs an individual for the advanced operation of a computer-based laser machining work center. The primary responsibility will be to laser process components with minimal instructions, which may include drawings and verbal or written directions. The employee must become familiar with procedures and work under general supervision. Additionally, the individual may be asked to provide leadership and guidance to new or junior employees. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

1. Perform medium to high complexity tasks related to customer-specific process requirements, with the ability to understand documentation.
2. Verify system conditions or equipment status before operation; adjust settings within guidelines if required.
3. Inspect components to ensure specifications are met.
4. Enter data and report issues as needed.
5. Take responsibility for process documentation.
6. Train other employees on production processes or equipment as directed by the Supervisor.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
8. Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to company policies and safety practices.
9. Use laser radiation safely, considering the different wavelengths and personal protective policies.
10. Conduct oneself professionally, maintaining high standards of conduct and job performance.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, or completion of primary school in Costa Rica.
• At least three years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment, preferably with computer-aided machinery, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to follow detailed technical processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems, especially in medical device manufacturing.
• Experience with optical inspection tools such as magnifiers, microscopes, or measuring equipment.

Physical Demands

• Good dexterity for handling small components.

Compensation

The pay range is $19.50–$20.25, based on experience and qualifications.
