Description

Basic Scope/Purpose: The Operator - Hoyt position will manufacture quality Wire Cloth products by performing preset, set-up, and operation of various machinery including Crimpers, Straighteners, Presses, Press Brakes, Shears, Welders, Roll Mills, and Hot Melt Machines, along with material handling duties.

Principal Accountabilities:

Level 1 Operator:

  • Identify safety violations or potential hazards and report to management or safety team.
  • Attend safety training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace using the “6S” system.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Assist main operators with operation of various machines.
  • Set up and operate machinery with assistance from higher-level operators.
  • Measure critical dimensions, adjust machines, and change tooling as needed.
  • Embrace change and strive for continuous process improvement.
  • Promote a positive work environment and company values.

Level 2 Operator:

  • Operate machinery as the main operator with minimal assistance.
  • Assist and train Level 1 operators and aspiring Level 2 operators.

Level 3 Operator:

  • Preset, set up, and operate all relevant machinery independently.
  • Participate in ISO standard procedures and improvement projects.
  • Assist and train lower-level operators.

Career Progression: Opportunities to advance through three levels based on proficiency and experience.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required for Level 1.

  • Progression to higher levels requires demonstrated proficiency over time.
