Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking an Operator I for its Aurora, CO manufacturing team. The role focuses on safe operation of baking machinery and adherence to recipes and GMP standards to ensure consistent product quality across our premium dessert brands.

You will work on the production floor, support line uptime, and follow food safety protocols including SQF, HACCP, and GMP. Training and overtime may be required as part of a fast-paced, team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Demonstrates good verbal communication skills.
• Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate mixing, baking and decorating machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must maintain production supplies at the prescribed levels so that the line does not shut down for lack of product.
• Performs assignments in accordance with established GMP policies and procedures.
• Reads all product formulas, temperatures, and times according to BOM.
• Coordinate with Production Leads as to product flow for the mixing of batches.
• Performs assignments in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Ensures that work ethic provides a positive influence on the production floor.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.
• Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Responsible for food safety and food quality throughout production.
• Responsible for notifying a Production Lead when they step off the line to ensure food safety and food quality standards are maintained.
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor.
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and SQF, HACCP, GMP practices.

Opportunity Overview

This position is responsible for the safe operations of different baking machinery and is required to provide a consistent quality, following the formula(s) and procedures established by the company without deviation. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products. The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Dessert Holdings products. A supervisor or other person of authority should be notified if any issues or threats to food safety or food quality are observed.

What You'll Do Everyday

• Must be able to operate mixing, baking and decorating machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

• Reads all product formulas, temperatures, and times according to Building of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with Production Leads as to product flow for the mixing of batches.
• Performs assignments in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Ensures that work ethic provides a positive influence on the production floor.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.
• Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Responsible for food safety and food quality throughout production.
