Dessert Holdings in Aurora, CO seeks an Operator I for the food manufacturing plant. You will safely operate baking machinery, ensure quality and follow established formulas while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

This entry‑level role offers on‑the‑line training, opportunities to cross‑train across departments, overtime potential, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, vacation and retirement plan.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate mixing, baking and decorating machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain production supplies to prevent line shutdowns.
• Follow GMP, HACCP and SQF procedures for food safety and quality.
• Read formulas, temperatures, and BOMs to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with Production Leads on product flow and timing.
• Report waste and safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Opportunity Overview

Dessert Holdings partners with some of North America's most iconic chains to bring people together to celebrate life's sweetest moments! Our team in Aurora, CO is looking for an Operator I. This position is responsible for the safe operations of different baking machinery and is required to provide a consistent quality, following the formula(s) and procedures established by the company without deviation. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products. The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Dessert Holdings products. A supervisor or other person of authority should be notified if any issues or threats to food safety or food quality are observed.

What You'll Do Everyday

• Must be able to operate mixing, baking and decorating machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must maintain production supplies at the prescribed levels so that the line does not shut down for lack of product.
• Performs assignments in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures.
• Reads all product formulas, temperatures, and times according to Building of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with Production Leads as to product flow for the mixing of batches.
• Performs assignments in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Ensures that work ethic provides a positive influence on the production floor.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.
• Reports all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Responsible for food safety and food quality throughout production.
• Responsible for notifying a Production Lead when they step off the line to ensure food safety and food quality standards are maintained.
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor.
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
• Will perform other duties as required by supervisor
