Job summary

Martin Construction, Inc. seeks a hands-on Hydro Excavation worker to support utility exposure, debris removal, trenching and digging.

You will operate hydrovac trucks, perform safety inspections, and assist the crew to complete projects on time.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying climates.
• Ability to safely operate hydrovac trucks and equipment.
• Pre/post inspections and routine maintenance
• Must have a driver’s license and pass background/drug screening
• OSHA 10 required within 30 days of hire

• Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Set up and inspect grounding and bonding procedures for hydro excavation.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections and routine maintenance.
• Assist crew with manual labor and on-site tasks as needed.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications

• Work outdoors - perhaps in some extreme climates
• Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner, ensure hydrovac truck and all equipment are in good working condition
• Preform pre and post inspections, as well as routine maintenance
• Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl repetitively
• Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
• HAZWOPPER, TENORM, H2S, Confine Space and Rescue, First Aid, training preferred
• OSHA 10, required within 30 days of hire
• Assist fellow crew members wherever required to get the job done (may entail manual labor and/or be outside your ticketed trade)
• Class A CDL preferred, Class B CDL Acceptable
• May work around some hazardous material
• Hydrovac experience preferred
• Set up and inspect grounding and/ or bonding procedures for hydrovac operation
• Personal Protective equipment (PPE) required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Driver's License required
• Complete all required paperwork properly and submit on time
