Operator - Hydrovac role at Martin Construction
Position Summary: Responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching and digging.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
- Work outdoors — perhaps in some extreme climates
- Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner; ensure hydrovac truck and all equipment are in good working condition
- Perform pre- and post-inspections, as well as routine maintenance
- Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl repetitively
- Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
- HAZWOPPER, TENORM, H2S, Confined Space and Rescue, First Aid training preferred
- OSHA 10 required within 30 days of hire
- Assist fellow crew members wherever required to get the job done (may entail manual labor and/or be outside your ticketed trade)
- CDL preferred
- May work around some hazardous material
- Hydrovac experience preferred
- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for hydrovac operation
- PPE required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Driver's License required
- Complete all required paperwork properly and submit on time
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
