Job summary

Cemex US in Moorpark, CA is seeking an Operator General to oversee plant production operations and maintenance of fixed equipment. The role requires hands-on operation, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards at the Moorpark facility.

The Operator will perform periodic maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate repairs, with flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts. A minimum 2 years’ experience in aggregate facilities and a high school diploma are required, with welding/cutting

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in operating and maintaining an aggregate facility.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Welding and cutting experience highly preferred.
• Core understanding of conveyor belts, shaker screens, sand screws, and cyclone operations.
• Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate facility in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies.
• Diagnose operational problems and perform repairs per approved methods.
• Conduct preventative maintenance practices.
• Be multi-diversified with related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading.
• Interpret and execute written and verbal instructions.
• Schedule repairs and order parts.
• Identify potentially hazardous situations and act safely.
• Follow all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations.
• Wear appropriate safety gear on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed safety standards and company expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Operate facility in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies
• Examine and diagnose operational problems, and repairs according to accepted methods, establishes
• Conducts preventative maintenance practices
• Ability to be multi-diversified in performing other related duties such as maintenance/repair, and yard loading when needed
• Able to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations
• Adhere to all CEMEX, O.S.H.A., and M.S.H.A rules and regulations at all times
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
