Job summary

Workwear Outfitters, LLC in Nashville, Tennessee, seeks a Sewing/Embroidery Operator to join our production team. You will check in garments, load designs, hoop items, and operate sewing machines with attention to detail and quality. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

This role requires the ability to stand/walk up to 100% of shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and read/understand English. Benefits include health, 401K, tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Sewing / embroidery experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic communication skills to read, speak, and understand English and basic math skills.
• The physical ability to stand and walk up to 100% of the work shift.
• The physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
• High attention to detail and quality; ability to work with others; multitask.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends; good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Check in garments when they arrive.
• Load design onto the sewing machine via computer.
• Hoop garment or item while the machine runs; prepare for the next run.
• Operate machines; trim backing; adjust tensions for quality.
• Fix errors as needed; maintain safe, efficient, clean work area.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and multitasking; work with team.
