Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to operate drill equipment and install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, and maintain equipment in a fast-paced field setting. The role requires being 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S., with a valid Class A CDL and tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain). We offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 18+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, bore path planning and site setup.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize mud mixing systems for drilling operations.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site setup, cleanup and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize "Mud" mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
