Job summary

4over is seeking an Operator, Cutting in Miami, FL for a Regular Full Time role. The position offers a 2nd shift schedule (1:00 PM–9:00 PM or similar) with an hourly wage of $16.00 to $19.00.

Training may occur at other times and the role requires operating a batching system, reviewing tickets, and meeting customer specs for custom jobs. Responsibilities include coordinating with cutters, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality and safety while completing paperwork and maintaining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Six months to one year of related experience with Polar or Saber cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand policies and instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate batching system to complete assignments.
• Collaborate with side cutter operators and inspect order types.
• Troubleshoot machines and notify management of issues; replace worn blades as needed.
• Set up job specifications, obtain approval, and run product as authorized.
• Monitor equipment to ensure adherence to specifications and speed.

Overview

Operator, Cutting — Regular Full Time position in Miami, FL. Salary range: $16.00 to $19.00 hourly. Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule may be 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.

Compensation: $16.00 to $19.00 hourly. Benefits and coverage details are described below where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate batching system to ensure the completion of assignments
  • Identify priority jobs to be completed
  • Review job tickets and strategically plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobs
• Collaborate with side cutter operators by communicating, inspecting and identifying order types
• Troubleshoot machines, if possible, to resolve any problems and/or notify production management
  • Replace worn cutting blades with hand tools, as required
  • Set up job assignment specifications, obtain approval and run product once authorized by supervisor or Plant Manager
  • Monitor apparatus during run, adjust as needed to ensure adherence to specification including operating speed
• Ensure completion of assignments by meeting quality/quantity specifications and requirements
• Complete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in the work area
• Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, injuries, illnesses and near misses to management immediately
• Attend all department/company meetings
• Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experiences

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Six months – one year of related experience with Polar or Saber cutting machines in a manufacturing environment

• Problem-solving and adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills for machine malfunctions, material shortages, or print quality issues; ability to adapt to new technologies and production schedules
• Time management & efficiency: Manage multiple print jobs, meet deadlines, and optimize workflows for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Attention to detail: Monitor print details such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and placement; detect defects and take corrective action
• Communication: Read and understand policies and instructions in English to ensure effective job performance
• Math skills: Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Organization: Highly detail-oriented, capable of managing time and meeting deadlines
